I had an amazing stay at Villa Wellia with my girlfriend! The property had everything we needed to feel comfortable and relaxed. The outdoor spaces were definitely a highlight—having a private pool, sun terrace, and garden made it perfect for spending quality time together. The villa itself was super well-equipped. The kitchen had everything you’d need, and the bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless and really cosy. The room we stayed in had a private, massive bath that could easily fit four people. It was in an area surrounded by plants, completely covered on all sides but open to the sky. It felt like having a bath in the jungle—something I’ve never seen before. It was such an amazing and romantic experience! Another thing worth mentioning is the strong-pressure hot shower. This is not always a given in Sri Lanka, but if you love a good shower like I do, you’ll be very pleased here. We also had the chance to take private surfing lessons with Santa, the owner of the property, at Ama Surf School. He was hands down the best guide I’ve come across on the island. I’ve tried surfing lessons elsewhere before, but nothing compared to this experience—Santa’s guidance was outstanding, and it made the lessons so much fun and effective! The staff were extremely polite and helpful, always making sure everything was taken care of. Having private security and housekeeping on-site for every request was a huge plus—it really made the whole experience feel even more luxurious and stress-free. Overall, it’s a brilliant place to stay, and we’d 100% come back again!

Everything about our stay was fantastic! We actually wanted to stay longer, but unfortunately, it was fully booked for the dates we wanted to extend. The rooms were super comfortable, clean, and felt brand new. The warm lighting and beautifully crafted wooden furniture gave the space such a cozy vibe. The bathroom was modern and very convenient—unlike many others in Sri Lanka, it didn’t leave the entire floor wet after a shower. The family running the place was incredibly welcoming. Despite the language barrier, they always found a way to communicate with us, which made our stay even more special. The kitchen was a fantastic bonus. With four stovetops, a fridge, a toaster, and a kettle, it had everything we needed to cook our meals comfortably. The location was another highlight. From the balcony, we could see the ocean, and it was just a short 800-meter walk to the beach where we went surfing. The area was quiet and well-connected to the rest of Weligama, making it the perfect spot to relax. We slept wonderfully, and the parking space was convenient too. Highly recommend this place—it’s truly a gem!

I had an excellent stay at the 3-bedroom villa at Weligama Bay in Sri Lanka. The villa was spacious, well-equipped with air conditioning in all rooms, and had a fully functional kitchen, which made it convenient for preparing meals. The property was just a short walk from the beach, allowing us to easily enjoy the beautiful coastline and stunning views. The weather was perfect during our stay, adding to the overall relaxing experience. What really stood out was the host, who was incredibly pleasant and attentive. They were always available to address any questions or issues we had, ensuring that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Whether it was recommending local attractions or helping with logistics, the host went above and beyond. I highly recommend this villa for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-located, and comfortable place to stay in Weligama. Would definitely return!

    The hosts were so friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. It was perfect location from the beach and had a lovely balcony. Breakfast was yummy and filtered water tank was very handy. The room had everything you needed: mosquito net and AC. They also began doing board rentals too which was great!

    Literally right off the beach, couldn't ask for a better location. The host was very welcoming and made sure I was happy the entire stay. I also left something in the apartment (although I did not need it anymore) and they messaged to say they would be happy to post it. Would be recommend

    RECOMMEND :-) Spacious apartment. Comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, hot shower. Very green garden to look at from balcony. Good location, 10 min walk to shops, 5 min drive to beach. Great host, good and fast communication, cheap scooter rental from him, laundry service, and he drove us further south with his Tuktuk.
