Diana was flawless—attentive, friendly, and provided helpful information about Edam and Amsterdam. The kitchen was well equipped, making everything very convenient. Edam is a lovely city, and although we had planned to spend most of our days in Amsterdam, we were so captivated by Edam that we set aside time to explore it as well. Following the hostess’s recommendation, we attended the cheese market in Edam, which was a very special experience. We also commuted to Amsterdam by bus, which was indeed very easy and convenient.

He responded to inquiries promptly, welcomed me upon arrival and made me feel at home immediately, arranged for additional garden furniture, dinnerware, etc. to accommodate me hosting my family and friends in the beautiful church garden. Restaurants, stores, sights all within walking distance. Kitchenette equipped with everything one needs for breakfast, lunch, and easy dinners.

Marleen met me and gave me the keys. She was very friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. There were some complementary snacks: sugar-glazed almonds and two cartons with fruit juice. The apartment was large, spotlessly clean and had everything (a fully equipped kitchen, bathrobes (which were very om point, considering the fact the weather was very cold for the end of May, and it was a bit chilly in the evenings), a fridge with a freezer, a hair drier etc.) The neighbourhood is very safe (well, Urk IS a very safe city in general), there are two bakeries, a supermarket, a sweets store and a slaughter shop next door. The beach is a few minutes away by foot.

Three minute walk to center of village with 3 restaurants and a bakery. Beds and bathroom were excellent, super clean. Host lovely. Beautiful countryside.
