Bikes also available to hire. Rebecca was a great host & always available to help with any questions. The owner, Sterling, was a top bloke who kindly dropped us back at the airport! It’s about a 20 min walk to town or you can jump in a taxi for $1 each. (During the day walk along the beach to cut the corner off & avoid the traffic on the main road)

The apartment features family rooms. Beautiful gardens and patio, one in the front to watch the activity in the park where a lot of local families hang out, one porch in the back that is quieter. AC works well. Big kitchen, and very friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. My only recommendations would be to have beds that’s are a little softer (or just a foam pad on the mattress) , reading light by the bed, and oil in the kitchen for cooking, and a filtered water container so that you can use a reusable water bottle and not plastic. Also for anyone booking—be aware that this is the center of town, and near some local bars, so there can be music until 1am or so, it is not extremely loud, and did not bother us, but if you are a light sleeper it’s probably better to be on the outskirts of town. For us, we liked to be right in the center where we could walk and watch kids playing soccer in the park, grab some meat from a food vendor etc. it’s a very friendly place with lots of good food, beautiful beaches nearby, and a great place to rent bikes next door.

This recently renovated apartment features a building dating back to 2019, which is a few steps from the Carenero Beach. All rooms are fitted with a patio with garden views. Property is located in smaller island (Isla Carenero) across the main island of Isla Colon ,five-minute boat ride from main port. Nice dock and seating areas, small convenience store for basics, good amount of tropical trees around buildings providing shade from sun. The units were top-notch, fully equipped (kitchen, AC, smart TV) with a lot of space including living room area and patio area. Property manager on site to handle any questions, issues, and help with tour planning.

The outdoor balcony (shared with other guests) felt like an extension of the room, which made the space feel much larger than just the bedroom. We enjoyed sitting and eating outside. The shared kitchen downstairs was clean, well equipped, and had thoughtful amenities. The host was very kind and attentive.

The location of this property was excellent- close to supermarkets, water taxi cooperative and multiple restaurants (Ultimo Refugio was our favorite). Esther had all three of our rooms ready even though we arrived at 10:15 am. She also helped us find a good place to eat Christmas dinner and was so responsive. The rooms are spacious and had good AC and plenty of hot water. We stayed on the upper floor with a sea view balcony that had a gorgeous view. I highly recommend staying here.

At the apartment complex, all units include a outdoor furniture. Each unit is equipped with a private bathroom equipped with a shower and free toiletries, while some rooms are equipped with a fully equipped kitchen fitted with an oven. At the apartment complex, the units include bed linen and towels. I met the manager of the accomodation, the night before I stayed there and was informed that the room I had reserved had been double booked. The manager told me that she would try to correct this problem and text me via WhatsApp regarding my status. At around midnight, she texted me that I could stay at the place. However, the unit where I could stay on the first night was smaller and different from the one I originally selected. I would be able to move to the selected unit on my second day. She did not offer to discount my price for the 1 night downgrade. Both units were clean and comfortable, but the unit I initially selected was much larger with a separate room for the kitchen and spare bed.

But it can be calculated by the map so i knew what i was signing up for. Everything else was great!
