United KingdomI really enjoyed staying here. Such a wonderful family with great character! Francisco met from the bus and dropped me off at the bus stop when I left Chaiten. The cabin is really comfortable with lots of natural light. Any questions I had were quickly answered. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We saw seals, swans, penguins and dolphins close to the shore minutes after arriving. We were simply stopping over for one (very wet) night in Chaitén before catching a ferry, but Hector - our host - was so welcoming, lit a fire and made the cabin super cozy. Héctor, the host, was very committed to making sure our stay was comfortable. He started the fire in our wood burning stove for us several times. Mornings were quite chilly in early November. Located just 3 km north of Chaitén it was close to town for finding dinner spots, and close to several hiking spots.
