This homestay afforded me with a real Fijian homestay experience and island experience. This is not a luxurious resort but real Fiji. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful and did his best to ensure I had a pleasant and delightful stay. Their cooking is authentically local Fijian. I had dinner with the host family and it offered a real cultural exchange experience. The island, Nanuya Lailai, is small and easy to walk around. The other side of the island has a beautiful and picturesque beach, perfect for a morning or sunset swim in calm waters. I really enjoyed that. All in all a real Fijian experience and the highlight of my holiday in Fiji. In hindsight, I would have preferred to spend more time here and visit fewer other islands.

Joe and is wife are amazing ! Friendly, nice and deep people if you are looking for a truely local experience that's just the right place ! The facilities are good, the food they make is really good too, the beach on this island is amazing (coral in front of the resort, blue lagoon beach not far). Also the price is really good value too, I have spend more than 1 month in the Fidgis island and this homestay was far away the best experience I neither either ad they're !

Our host Elia was just a really friendly man. He gives us a good and safe feeling. The food was amazing and the people in the village a friendly. Our house was clean, toilet and badroom was clean and good aswel!

Long Beach is located in Matacawalevu and is one of the best place I have visited so far! The family is lovely and food delicious. Bungalow just few steps from the beach! Very close to Blue lagoon for a day trip or stop at the minimarket.

Can’t describe in enough words the hospitality, location, services and ambience this place has to offer. Home away from home is the feeling you get upon meeting any member of the staff. The food is just amazing, if I can describe it in minimum words possible. All in all, this place is irreplaceable. We started in Blue Lagoon resort as well right next to it, and truth be told, it is in no match to the Oarsman’s! Go for it and treat your mind, body and belly with an absolute feast! Lots of love @Oarsman’s staff and people Special mention to Ben for taking efforts, time and patience to teach me how to swim! Would’ve loved to stay here longer and get in more sessions!! The hosts, Illi and Johnny, were great. The food was good. The location is excellent, as you can do walks and hikes around on the island and to the other side. The beaches and water are nice. Everyone is friendly and happy. Its not a resort, its an actual homestay and a glimpse into their day to day life. It's very uplifting. No wifi, but you can charge your devices at the main house. Bring fj cash.
