Located in quite a busy residential area, we arrived early and the welcome couldn't have been better, the owner is from America and so enthusiastic. This is his project and while basic in many respects, and with no frills, it clean, tidy and excellent value for what we paid. The owner could not have been more welcoming, we were the only guests due to the season, and were given an apartment ourselves rather than a room in one, so we benefitted from well equipped kitchen and bathroom. The whole place could benefit from long-term investment and that may be the owner's aim, but the beauty of the place was its authenticity and cheap cost; his priority is welcoming guests with comfortable, good value accommodation. We were provided with beautiful local oil, honey & oregano and given lovely pastries were delivered next morning. Given what we paid, we couldn't have asked for more.

Pharae Palace is located on the famous Kalamata beachfront and just few minutes away from the shopping districts and the port of Kalamata.

Everything was absolutely perfect during our stay. First of all, the view from the terrace was priceless – truly breathtaking. The apartment is just a short walk from the beach, which made everything so convenient. It was spacious, perfectly clean, and had everything we needed for cooking. The host was very friendly and helpful. Honestly, we felt like home. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay 😊

Words fail me really!! This wonderful block of appartments run by lovely Mrs Maria is in deed a magnificent place to stay in Kardamili. The views were spectacular, the room was spacious, with a lot of amenities available and spotlessly clean. Price was reasonable too!!! I would definately go back!

Since this was the first time we stayed at Mantinia Bay Hotel, we can say it was exactly what we needed and we were delighted with the place. We stayed in one of the apartments and it was very spacious with a nice terrace and a small kitchen corner, which to be honest we didn't use for cooking but it was still very useful to have. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the cleaning service was very detailed. We didn't miss any accessories, even if we didn't find something in our room upon arrival we received it the next day. There were enough parking places in the hotel's parking. The hotel beach is across the street and there are enough sunbeds for the guests. Since we were trying every day for lunch another taverna, we only had lunch once at the hotel, but it was good. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, but nothing fancy or extraordinary ( which was not what we were looking for anyway ), and it worked perfectly with the timeless Greek village feeling that you have there. And last, but definitely not least, the personnel was friendly and always there to help. One thing that needs mentioning, the beaches in that area are rocky, not sandy, beaches. It took us probably 2 days to get used to, but then we were just fine with it since the rocks were round and not pointy, and in the end we actually loved it, it was a good daily reflexology :D A small tip, wait in the water for the sun to set behind the mountain across the gulf. We loved it, including our 4 years old.

- The detail that makes the difference compared to other hotels in Kalamata is that there is no road that seperates the beach and the hotel. This was really convenient since we had our 8months old kid with us. - It is newly renovated. - Mr. Antonis who is working there for more than 10 years, and the rest of the team have been very kind and helpful. - We did not get charged for baby’s food.

We had such a fantastic experience here! John and his partner were truly amazing hosts – very accommodating, friendly, and always going above and beyond to make our stay special. The property itself is spotless, neat, and perfectly located just five minutes from the main town. While it’s on a busy street, the stunning views more than make up for it. The pool and lounging area are a highlight, with direct private access to the sea. There isn’t a traditional beach, but you can still get into the water if you wish – though honestly, the pool and the views are so incredible that you hardly need it. We traveled with small kids and stayed in a two-bedroom unit, which was super spacious and worked perfectly for our family of five. It’s an excellent choice for families, with plenty of space and comfort. Food options on-site are limited, but this wasn’t an issue. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, and it’s easy to order takeaway from local spots. The property also has a lovely little restaurant area with beautiful views where you can enjoy your own meals. And the coffee deserves a special mention – unlimited and absolutely amazing in the mornings, which was such a treat! Overall, everything about our stay exceeded expectations. We would definitely return if we’re back in the area.

Very clean and spacious apartment. Great host and service. The main advantage is access to the sea, so you don't have to get in the car if you don't look for specific beaches in the area.
