Everything! We had such a great stay. The bungalows are clean and spacious with an incredible view on the ocean. I couldn’t recommend more the activities that the homestay offer, we really loved them! As for the staff, everyone was very friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Yonas who was very arranging, super friendly and caring!! Hope to be back soon!

The homestay is idyllic and secluded. We were right on the water, the porch is nicely decorated, there's a table and chairs so in the evenings we could easily play cards. In the day, if we weren't diving with Corepen (they come and collect you and drop you off), we would snorkel on the coral reef in front of the homestay which is fantastic! We saw a turtle, ray, squid, clown fish, a shark etc. All three meals are included and Lina's cooking is amazing. We would eat fresh fish everyday. Portion size is very generous so you won't be going hungry. Lina and Arnes are so kind and gentle hosts we couldn't recommend this more. Their English is very limited so just make sure you download a translator app if you don't have data (there's no WiFi). The amenities are basic and you get electricity from around 6:30pm-10:30pm but for us, this only added to its charm. When we passed other homestays, we were always grateful for picking Efenli.

The homestay is really nice! It’s by the beach and you have lots of corals just in front. The food is excellent :) The family is very welcoming and nice I highly recommend :)

The homestay was the best and most comfortable we had in Raja Ampat. Very good facilities and food.

Closeness to nature, which is still unspoiled. Lots of birds, fishes and ofcourse the marine life that is easy accessible from PapuArts Alter Native Stay. Family feeling; easily to feel at home with this lovely family of four (Helga, Timon and their 2 beautiful young daughters who love to make friends). Oh, and I forgot their two sweet dogs Ringo & Dingo 🐾🐾 Owners are very helpful and speak several languages so easy to communicate with them. Internet is sometimes a bit unstable so take that into account when expecting speedy replies (sometimes it just doesn’t work and patience is a good thing to have). The food - home style cooking (breakfast, lunch and dinner are all cooked by the owner and her team and she is a great cook; we loved every meal which was perfectly catered to our vegetarian / pescatarian wishes) The rooms are close to nature as well, with very comfy beds (we stayed in both the smaller and the biggest family room, which easily fits 3 respectively 4 people; the 3rd bed in the smaller room has a wonderful treehouse feeling and there is a bunkbed in the biggest room). Hard to capture the beauty of the rooms in just one picture (I took several but could only post one here with my review). You can hear the sea and birds from your bedroom. It’s right next to you. No frills, just natural materials, which we loved. Also no warm water, but easily to get used to. There’s a shower and mandi style shower. Also your own toilet. Plus the blue blue sea right at your doorstep and a lovely sitting area with a hammock to complete the zen-feeling. There’s a long jetty into the sea with a perfect spot for exercise/meditation/yoga at the end. Fitness with a view! It’s quiet and feels very private. You instantly feel relaxed here. Different excursions to choose from, both on land and on/under the sea. Please note: these come at an extra cost and Raja Ampat area is not cheap!!!! Simply the best homestay we visited in Raja Ampat, it has an extra touch overs the other homestays: walking paths are well kept, every room has it's water outside, the restaurant deck on the water is wonderful, rooms are new with a mesmerizing view. House reef is one of the best we have seen in RA (just pay attention to the currents!). Moreover Mario is an excellent host and helps create a great atmoshpere, he has several boats and offers the chepeast tours around.

This is by far the best accomodation we've been in the area. Resort style facilities without the high resort price tag or crowd. It's more expensive than a homestay but the price difference is definitely worth it if you want comfort or a beautiful accomodation. We stayed in the overwater villa and it was great, very clean, wifi, electricity, felt just like being in a 4 star hotel. Staff is very friendly, excursions great and they are very helpful with anything that you need. Reef is amazing (lots of fish, turtles, moray and occasional black tips and white tips), overall a 10 out of 10 experience.
