If You are looking for a beachfront hotel with an easygoing Italian style, this is the place. Right next to the beach, rooms facing the ocean, a small family owned place with a friendly atmosphere, this is a good stay. I,d say this is one of the best places we have been to in Italy travelling the south quite a few times. In the comment section people complain about the elevator and other details. If an elevator is Your priority then this is not Your place. You wont find perfection in every detail but You will find a genuine friendly and nice place with the south Italian style and atmosphere.

A beautiful room and property, spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained in a very peaceful and gorgeous garden setting with a beautiful ocean view. What made this extra special was the very warm and welcoming reception by Elena and Paula who looked after us so well, such beautiful hospitality from the welcoming tea/coffee and home baked cakes served on the terrace in the beautiful garden when we arrived to the delicious breakfast with homemade jams, cakes, etc and all dishes with ingredients homegrown and locally sourced. Such a treat!

Great location with a very nice balance of everyday real life and tourists. Lovely atmosphere sitting in balcony where we had a good view of the sea and sunset. Very well equipped room with little kitchen dining area. Great place for a relaxing holiday with good choice of restaurants and beach very close by.

The hosts were a delight! The place was spotless, and right across the street from the beach, with sunset views from our room. Excellent finishings on everything -- good bed, good shower, everything in top shape. We were able to park for free in front of the apartment (free parking after September 30). We took day trips to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast road (that was an adventure...). I'm glad we stayed in this town. It has the delights of the coast without the chaos of some of the more famous towns on the coast.

The location is very good, only few steps from the beach and the view from the balcony is amazing. Just around the property there is a bar and a restaurant ( this one they own ) so you can forget about your car if you wish to spend a relaxing day.

I read about the area Castellebate by chance but decided to break our trip to Calabria to visit. It thought il Cefalo was just at the bottom of the town but it was a little way along the coast. Best mistake I ever made. The hotel was great, position fantastic and the food was top class!
