Extremely convenient location, the view is superb and the apartment has all the facilities one might need, the kitchen was so nice I actually cooked for myself - something I hardly ever do. The host is very friendly and responsive, can’t do otherwise but only recommend this gem!

The breakfast was amazing. All of the staff were incredible - Angelo, Francesca and Manuela made us feel so at home, while also making it feel like a luxury experience. The room was rustic and stunning. Although it rained while we were there there was an amazing hot tub overlooking the lake and we enjoyed hot coffees and later Prosecco outside and took in the views. It is a very special place with authentic rustic luxury, also we loved being away from the hectic touristy area of Varenna- it’s super close for a day trip via ferry or train, but if you are looking to relax this is definitely a better option.

I usually forget to comment on reservations, but this palace forced me to comment. Frankly, this is the best place I stayed in during my trip that started from Rome. Of course, this palace has been owned by a family for generations and has been updated in a modern style. I will definitely return 👍
