The area is really really stunning, the view from the room is amazing. The outside terrace is beautiful and at night the little lights and sunset just look amazing. I truly have nothing bad to say, the breakfast was varied and filling and I will absolutely come here again. There was kayaks free to use whenever and a jet ski for 1200 pesos per 30mins for 2 which was very fun! I absolutely recommend, the staff are lovely and helpful. We will be back!

Beautiful grounds great view and 5 min to town by taxi. The pool was great and the food was amazing. The bathtub on the patio was a nice touch.

It is a wonderful place to stay. Away from noise and inmerse in nature... absolutely extraordinary! This is by far one of my favorite places i've stayed in. The staff was friendly and while checking in, we were able to book the sail boat tour (which is what my friend and I wanted to do). Parking was available on both sides of the street and had no trouble looking for parking. I would recommend staying here!

Villa Marilu was amazing! It was very clean and well maintained. Waking up to the beautiful lagoon made my day. The entire staff is super friendly and helpful. Eduardo was always there very helpful with anything we needed, wether it was ideas, suggestions on sights or food, and answer any questions we might have. The property is well kept and offers a nice little breakfast and if we were in the mood for a heavier breakfast there was always the options of very good restaurants in the area. The villa has a cozy and private feel to it, which I loved.

Wonderful views of the Laguna Bacalar! The owner, Horacio, is very helpful and informative - he even gave us a Lonely Planet of Yucatan for free. A walk from the town center, but fortunately there is a very good restaurant nearby the Amigos Hotelito. It is expensive for Mexican standards since - with its heavenly lagoon - Bacalar has become a highlight in Yucatan. The price is right for the location.
