We wanted to stay outside of Tromsø and close to the sea for a good chance to see the Northern Lights. For this, the accommodation was perfect!!! The house was beautiful, cozy, there were reindeers around and you simply had to step outside to watch the Northern Lights - or even stay in the living room and look out the big windows :-) There's a supermarket and a gas station in walking distance. We had rental cars, so we didn't need the bus, but there is a bus stop close by as well. All in all, we loved our stay and highly recommend the house!

I am a huge fan of capsule hotels and this one didn't disappoint! My capsule was very cozy: comfortable bedding, window could be opened, electricity plugs, light could be dimmed. It was quiet when I stayed there. The bathroom has an incinerator toilet with great explanations and descriptions, so it was easy to use for me. There is no shower in the hotel, one can shower at a nearby camping ground. The owners provide all the important information and reply quickly. The location is great, the supermarket is very close as well as several beaches - in general, Sommaroy is a super beautiful island and definitely worth a visit!

The place is enormous, pictures aren't fair enough to the reality, apartment has everything you need even for long stay! Location is far enough to be on a dark, cute and quiet place, but very close to the city center! Geir and Eva were absolutely helpful and kind to us, they even helped us with an emergency we had

The host was extremely nice. He saw we were a bigger group and even offered a free upgrade in a bigger apartment. He has a lot of great places, sadly he has not advertised them well. The property offers more than what he has shown on booking.com. He even offered his car for a minimal price to get around Tromso. If I visit Tromso again, no doubt I will stay here.

House of Ellie was fantastic. It is located at the end of a fjord so the anpartment and bedroom window looks across the fjord. We were there for almost midnight sun and Ellie set up chairs for us outside when we arrived. Spectacular views. It’s also located next to our favourite Tromso cafe. The room was very clean, extremely comfortable and had a fridge. Ellie was so helpful and very responsive to messages. We liked it so much that we’ve booked again for our return to Tromso in a few weeks.

5 Stars out of 5 for a superb all-round experience. The location was picturesque, postcard perfect. Property was excellent & had all the amenities to make one feel at home. Cleanliness was top class. The hosts, Mr. Mercin & Ms. Karolina were genuinely warm & extremely helpful. They not only helped us to take a grip on the things within the house but also lent us great support for our Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) excursions outdoors. The House of Aurora is also aptly named as one can also see the spectacular Auroras from within the premises of this property in case someone is not inclined to venture outside 7-10 kms at night to a pitched dark place to watch better views of the stunning lights. Again 5 Stars out of 5 for the all round experience at the property.

Beautiful place, situated close to the fjord and very nice aurora view points. Super cosy and comfy, very well equipped. And the owners are super friendly too ! Also beds were soooo comfy Also I saw a reindeer in the street !
