We love the location, but we expected more from the beach view and balcony. But we have really enjoyed it.

A beautifully furnished, comfortable studio in an excellent location - a short walk to the beachfront, shops and cafes.

It was wonderful being able to have beach access (at low tide) without having to walk down the road was so handy for walks, fishing and swimming. Launching the kayaks we hired from the motel (high tide or low tide) from the property was superb.

We turned up in the dark and rain so had no idea what the location looked like. We climbed up an external staircase to our very comfortable first-floor apartment where we enjoyed a meal and then had a good night's sleep. In the morning, the weather had cleared and we were treated to a glorious view over the bay - the motel is right on the beach-front. Akaroa itself is a charming town. We hope to return one day to explore the area more thoroughly.
