"Porini" means forest in Swahili. Human activity is almost absent here, instead wildlife greeted us. FORGET Zanzibar. The emerald Indian Ocean and sandy beach offered us peaceful walks along the shoreline, with only a few fishermen passing by. After spending a month in Tanzania, staying at Porini House was a true retreat, allowing us to escape from the hustle and bustle.

    A good breakfast, quite a variety i can say, beach was good only that it was not clean, the ocean dumps a lot of plastic and waste on the beach, the room was very spacious and quite comfortable.

    nice resort with private beach, but part of beach is polluted with tons of garbage, on other parts of the beach hotel staff is trying their best carting away trash with wheelbarrows; our room was clean and quiet with nice view on the ocean

    Simple beach huts directly on the beach. Perfect if you like it simple and want to stay right on the beach for a good value. The room had a bed with mosquito net, fan and table. The room was clean in the beginning but due to the natural ceiling, there was lots of „nature“ falling on the bed. The staff is friendly. Either I got lucky or they really decreased the volume of the Musik in the neighboring place.
