It felt like staying with family, they were watching out for me and helped me arrange all of the activities I wanted to try with trusted guides. I loved walking through the neighborhood to get there- it's worth the sweaty trek. You really get to see how the locals live. Kids running in the street to say "hi!" to you. I felt safe walking alone, even at night.

It is a beautiful semi-secluded sanctuary perfect for travelers who enjoy peace and quiet and nature, and who are interested in trading a few luxuries for a more authentic and eco-friendly stay. It is a few miles from any stores or restaurants, but they serve food on site that is delicious and reasonably priced.

I spent way too much time in one rocking chair that I wanted to take home with me. Estelle the owner and her family give it a very homey touch. Filtered water is free! Highly recommend it.
