This recently renovated homestay features a building dating back to 2010, which is 1.7 km from the Lagarto Beach. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The host was very nice, and her nephew Luis was very helpful and available. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We will come back.

This is a true gem, perfect from start to finish. Nice relaxing view, working internet and Jao is the perfect host, taking time to talk and explain island life. Went to another place in the south after this which was totally opposite.

My stay in Hotel Kriola surpassed all my expectations. Kriola is a small, familiar hotel facing Ana Chavez bay. If you are looking for a comfortable, well located place, look no further. The room was spacious and the bed extremely comfy. The room had AC, a small fridge and an amazing bathroom. Breakfast is diverse and buffet style. The hotel is extremely clean and located next to the biggest supermarket in all São Tomé island. You'll be located within 10mins walk to all the major interest points (the Museum, Papa Figos restaurant, city centre, Diogo Vaz chocolate showroom, etc...). The swimming pool was amazing to relax in the afternoon. The staff is amazing and will go above and beyond to assist you. Dinner here was one of the best meals of my holiday (I was in Sao Tomé for 9 days so it says a lot). When we arrived at São Tome, we stayed 2 nights in Pestana and I wished I had stayed in Kriola instead because it was, by far, the best hotel in the whole island. I travelled with a 6 year old.

At the resort, the rooms come with a desk and a balcony with a garden view. I had a truly wonderful stay – it was pure happiness from start to finish. I met some truly amazing people who made the experience even more special. The nearby beaches are absolutely stunning – so beautiful they almost don’t seem real. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking, and every meal was a delight. Lucas and Bruno are not only incredible chefs, but also kind and beautiful souls with big hearts. I’m so grateful for the memories and can’t wait to return one day.
