The host family at the guest house could not have been more hospitable and accommodating. The father of the family, a professional builder, constructed the house to western comfortable standards. Really nice touches.

Our group of friends had an absolutely fantastic stay at this guesthouse! The location was truly amazing – it provided the perfect base for exploring the area and offered a wonderful atmosphere. As a bonus for animal lovers, we also really enjoyed the company of the guesthouse's dogs. They were so sweet and friendly, adding an extra touch of warmth to our stay. Our room had obviously been renovated in a very creative way (we really liked the shower). The town of Alaverdi as such might look a little bit drab but it really is wonderfully situated if you want to thoroughly explore Debed canyon and its many natural and cultural wonders. And besides, the town won’t seem drab at all when you put yourself in the care of the hosts - they were really helpful, kind and generous with the delicious apricots.

Mary and her family were the kindest and most welcoming hosts we could wish for. Right upon our arrival they offered us tea and refreshments and gave us various tips on what to see in the area.Their homemade dinners and breakfasts (served at a terrace with wonderful views) are huge and simply delicious, absolutely perfect after a whole day spent in the mountains around Haghpat. The room itself is very light and spacious, located in a house in the middle of a rural vegetable garden a few hundred meters from the monastery. In spite of our very poor knowledge of Russian, Mary's parents were always very friendly and open to talk with and fully accommodated all our wishes. We'll be very happy to come again if ever back in Armenia. Thank you! <3

The location and view from the hotel was incredible, and the family running the hotel were extremely welcoming and hospitable. Eating the home cooked dinner on the terrace overlooking the valley was a holiday highlight. We were cycling and there was plenty of room to accommodate our bikes - and being able to have a refreshing swim after riding up the hill to Haghpat was fantastic. The home cooked breakfast in the morning was also beautiful. Wished we were able to stay longer.
