Loved everything about this amazing hotel and especially the super staff at the front desk. Wine tasting was awesome! Our hostess was extremely knowledgeable and I learned a great deal about wines! Breakfast was wonderful and the setting for the restaurant is lovely.

It was perfect. Excellent beds, excellent breakfast (juices, fruits, meats etc.), friendly owners, nice pool. We loved the system where you can simply take the drinks and ice from their fridges and write them down. Prices for these goods were more than fair. Also in good location and quiet at night. We would have stayed longer. Our only bad luck was that we were there on days when their Heuriger wasn't open - we had the impression that their Heuriger must also be excellent ...

    An amazing location in the peace and quiet of a wonderful monastery with glorious views over the surrounding countryside. Excellent breakfast sitting either inside or out on the terrace with great views towards the Danube. The bedroom and ensuite bathroom were very good, clean, plenty of space and all that we needed. The monastery, abbey, museum and grounds are well worth visiting with so much historical interest.

    A Benedictine Monastery on top of a hill. Steep climb, on bicycles, to reach it but very worthwhile. Breathtaking views over the surrounding area in all directions. Comfortable room with emphasis on quiet contemplation. A guests' kitchen was available if desired. The cafe/restaurant/bar closed at 18:00. Helpful reception staff. Beautiful buildings to walk around. Exceptionally good self service breakfast on the terrace (in sunshine when we were there!). Bicycles stored under cover.

    Beautiful place amongst wineyards with the scenery of baroque abbey Gottweig. It felt like a nice gentle touch of Provence by Danube. We've been served true home made breakfast, grape marmelade was excellent. We were lucky to stay during wine tasting weekend in some of the Wachau valley, then the evening with bottle of local wine in front of our rooms was charming. Great place to stay. The owner is great in hospitality, helpfulness and she recommended us other nice places to visit. Thank you.

    The location 10-15 min drive from all main tourist attractions, yet if rite on top of the hill so you get a quiet peaceful stay. If you want to live in a lively happening area this i not the place for you.

    Great location! It's the first time I didn't have a TV in the room and it was very good. Very quiet, a great landscape, excellent breakfast and a little conversation with the priest. Definitely a place that must be revisited!
