The hosts, Marc and Katty, were very easy to communicate with for our travels. Very warm welcome and greetings when we arrived. Gave us a tour of the house and showed us where everything was located. Asked if we had questions about anything and if everything was ok for us. Showed us their amazing garden and where we could lounge outside in the very private and cozy outdoor space. Just absolutely amazing people and amazing place to stay. There is a fridge full of drinks. Both soft drinks and good Belgium beer. Even a bottle of wine. Marc explained the different beers to us. Had a very nice sleep in a very clean and comfortable bed. Just very well kept. Beautiful!!! Marc did all the building himself and was very passionate about his work. Very impressive Craftsmanship. I can't tell you one bad thing about this place. Will be back again to visit. The delicious breakfast. Fresh!!! Homemade bread, homemade yogurt, homemade granola, fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee. Fruits, cheese , meat's. Farm fresh eggs from their chicken. The apartment itself is beautiful and spacious. I had no idea, but the location is the best in the city as the best restaurants, pubs and sightseeing landmarks are just few steps away. A huge plus is that there is a fix parking spot that can be rented. Our host was amazing, provided us with suggestions what to see, leaved a detailed description about everything important. On top of all there is also a nintendo wii with mario kart :D

This was a wonderful place to spend a couple of nights in Ghent. Everything was perfect, from the cleanness of the room to the location of the hotel and the attentiveness of the staff. The excellent bakery downstairs was a bonus.

De Waterzooi is simply a wonderful B&B. Excellent location with a view on the castle with easy access to anything in the centre of the city. Personal welcome by the owners with a guided tour of the amenities by the lady of the house. Every detail is being taken care of and this with a lot of taste to please your general wellbeing. In the morning you will be be able to enjoy a superb breakfast with fresh and homemade products. We simply loved it and this includes the wonderful hosts of the Waterzooi.
