Germanyonly one word: AMAZING.
My family and I enjoyed the accommodation so much! Apart from the fact that the building itself (partly an old church, partly an old school) is incredibly beautiful and has been furnished and restored with great attention to detail, the hosts were super friendly and accommodating! We learned a lot about Alert Bay and even though the island is very small, you can still experience so much here. The islanders are also very friendly and always up for a good chat.
Overall a great stay, we would have liked to stay a little longer to explore the neighboring islands from there.
And of course it should be mentioned that we could even see whales from the beach!

So the old fashioned aspects are a work-in-progress. Superb location on the water. Great views. Room had everything we needed but was quite eclectic.
