B&Bs in Sámara

I feel lucky that I chose this place just based on seeing it online. I might have chosen a different place because I'd never been to Samara before, so I'm so glad I ended up here. It is a special place that grew on me the longer I stayed. It's in a perfect location that is convenient for the commercial area and main beach of Samara, but a little bit set back where it was more peaceful and a little bit wild. The staff were so helpful and warm and professional; this is why people love Costa Rica--the hospitality of the Ticos. They asked me if I had dietary restrictions, because the breakfast offerings changed each day (and they were all delicious with fresh ingredients--and with very generous portions). It's a smaller property with not so many rooms, so it's pretty quiet and the other guests were all respectful of privacy and keeping noise down. After a long day exploring the local areas, this was such a great spot to come back to and truly relax. There are a couple of really good Costan Rican sodas nearby and I also rented a bike to go further afield. One of my favorite things to do here was to go for a dip in the pool right around sunset, when everyone else was either going to dinner or the beach for the sunset. The whole area came alive with the sounds of wildlife: howler monkeys, cicadas, so many different birdsongs, and some other mysterious Costa Rican animal sounds I did not recognize (????) I just floated in the pool and listened to the sounds of Costa Rica and was truly relaxed and calm. The staff were super helpful with any practical questions about things like transportation, laundry, anything you need in town. The room was spotless and the bed was really comfortable. The wifi was lightning fast and checkin and checkout were really easy.

Good room for the price, the complex is in a very quite area sourrunded by the forest.

We stayed at Villa Mango with Agnes and Joe, and it was an unforgettable experience. They were absolutely wonderful hosts – we felt like we were visiting our closest friends. Every morning, we shared breakfast enjoying great conversations. The villa is set right in the middle of the jungle, and each day we were surrounded by nature – monkeys, iguanas, and even hummingbirds. It’s a magical place with incredible people, a warm atmosphere, and a truly special energy. We couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommended! We really want to visit you guys one more time! I never gave a 10star review until now. Had a perfect stay. Thank you. Close to beach, yoga and restaurants but completely quiet. Kindest, helpful host and people working there. Super clean and equipped with even more than the necessary. Loved it and will come back :)

Food was sweet and made with love. Coffe was great!

it was a wonderful stay we could see howler monkeys and many birds and other doors from the balcony. The location was very quiet, the room was large and nicely furnished, we didn't miss anything.
