Kaas d’Vizin is a beautiful stay in the mountains, the room is very spacious, was super clean and is nicely decorated just as the whole house is. Very enjoyable rooftop restaurant with nice view on mountains. Food was absolutely great, all vegan which we did not know and honestly did hardly notice! Very friendly staff

It's unbelievable what a great service we got here for such a small money value! The room was cleaned every day, which I really did not expect in a budget type of accomldation and never experienced before. The shower, omg!!! It felt like a luxury being able to take hot shower with good pressure, that is not what you can take for granted in Cape Verde. Breakfast is Italian bruschettas of various rich flavours, and it's BIG, you are super full after it and ready for a day of trekking. Vito is such a kind and helpful host.

Excellent location, with a beautiful landscape, immersed in nature. Upon inquiring about transport from Porto Novo (where the ferry takes you) to the accommodation, the Casa das Ilhas staff kindly arranged an aluguer (minibus and main public transport in the island) that took us all the way to the accommodation. As there is no drivable road access from the road to the accommodation, the staff has also provided someone who helped us out with the luggage. The accommodation is located in the most beautiful place, overlooking the valley. The wifi worked fine. The breakfast and other optional meals were in group with the rest of the travellers. You can arrange the breakfast time though. Casa das Ilhas provided dinner (approximately 12€): you can ask vegan or vegetarian. I am vegan and my friend is vegetarian and the food was great and plenty. They do a different dish every time but you won't be choosing from a menu. It is what they give you and it is mostly done with locally produced products. Absolutely recommend. It includes drink, main and dessert. Although I think the dinners were a bit pricy for the local prices, it is absolutely worth it, especially as the accommodation is located in a remote place, it can be quite useful to have dinner in Casa das Ilhas as it can be quite of a walk to the next restaurant. There are snacks, drinks and coffee that you can take whenever you wish to, note it down and pay in the end. The staff was very useful providing information and maps of the different hikes that can be done in Santo Antao. The outdoors space is good for socialising, whilst enjoying the magnificent landscape. I really recommend Casa das Ilhas!

A very nice guesthouse in a beautiful garden. The location is great. Mercaderias and restaurants in walking distance. Sonia and Nuno the host are really friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast. Would come again.

We had a great time at Luz d'Sol. It is conventiently located in Paúl, with plenty of restaurants, bars and several minimarkets within walking distance. The rooms are new and clean with comfartable beds. Cold drinks are available 24/7 from a fridge in the hallway. The highlight of our stay was definitely the hospitality of our host Juan and his family. He arranged a taxi to get us to Cova do Paul, including a few photo stops along the way and was happy to provide us with some hints and tips for hiking the area. Our two year old daughter had a good time playing with the kids. A tasty breakfast was served every day in the family's living room and we were even invited for dinner. Laundry service was provided at no additional cost.

Great breakfast. Dinner was possible to have at 19.00, two options and dessert. Price of food was good considering the location. Great staff.
