B&Bs in Ebeltoft

Ane is a wonderful person who poured her heart and soul into Ibsens Gaard, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Communicating with Ane is effortless and pleasant. I particularly loved the kitchen, which is fully equipped, allowing you to prepare your own meals without lacking anything.

This recently opened bed and breakfast offers good value accommodation in a quiet and secluded location, 20m from Ebeltoft and 45m from Aarhus. The room was spacious, and comfortable.

So - first off - English speaking - not a problem, they speak superb English. The place has such a chill relaxed vibe about it. It's so calm and peaceful. Ideal for local trips or just somewhere to stay and relax. WiFi was good, bathroom was pleasant. Just a genuinely nice place, nice hosts, would highly recommend if you're looking for something completely different to the usual hotel chains. Vegan breakfast - bread is nice, fruit, coffee, yoghurt etc....but if you've got children that are fussy, then perhaps not for you. But it was a nice extra we weren't expecting. Local restaurant 2 miles down the road is super.

The owners are super nice and going the extra mile to make the stay enjoyable.

Set in the very lovely quiet area of Kolind, it is within a ten minute drive to the Aarhus Airport which, to our surprise, was incredibly quiet as well. Jane, the host, couldn't be any more welcoming if she tried. She was truly a high spirited host who very kindly offered us a drink when we arrived around 10pm on the evening we were checking in. [25th May] This is very much a basic but suitable bed and breakfast for short stays, due to there being no facilities in the room for coffee, but we had such a wonderful nights rest with a feather pillow and duvet, in a warm room, with a shared bathroom. Our flight was at 7am, well before breakfast unfortunately, but Jane's hosting really made up for the things this place did not have. Smoking is not allowed inside but directly outside the front door there is a bench and an ashtray, and being in such a quiet area I felt safe and comfortable. We do plan to come back to Kolind again and stop, but would likely see about bringing travel mugs and a portable travel kettle. Do not let the little things get in the way though, because the area is so quiet and peaceful, although Jane explained some shops are struggling due to the cost of living crisis and the pandemic did no favours to the scenic town at all. I'd say this is an ideal location for lone travellers, or couples etc. I was here with my mom, and our two friends were booked into the room next door. You have sufficient access to a tram into Aarhus, it's a short trip to the airport and is definitely value for money whether you have breakfast or not.

The couple are very kind and and had offered us extremely warm service. We couldn't find any taxis when we arrived the coach station and the owner of the house picked us up immediately when he knew that. All in all, the owner of the house helped us a lot when we lived there for two days. I am sure I will be back to re-book this house if I travel to Denmark next year.

Our stay at the B&B was wonderful. The owner could not have been more kind and helpful. He even picked us up from the airport late and had left food in the fridge as restaurants were by that point closed. The ground floor apartment is huge with a beautiful view from the windows. Two nights there was too little. Will absolutely go back and stay longer to make the most of cooking in the kitchen as it’s so well equipped. The location is super, an Easter time visit was gorgeous, town just bustling enough yet had the beach to ourselves for most the walk around the bay.

The room was bright, very clean and very comfortable. The food in the brasserie was excellent with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The hotel is in an excellent location. Altogether a very positive experience

It is like a high end boutique hotel in San Francisco. A great place to indulge a sense of culture.
