So much to like about the property. The owner was incredibly helpful by letting us know that our room was ready early and we could check in. Also the homemade cake, cookies and free coffee which were all just left out in the kitchen for the guest to take was a really nice touch

Room was easy to find and comfortable. Host very helpful, with an IT challenged person, like myself. Comfy bed and nice kitchen area. Hot water was plentiful...and again, nice to have towels and linens supplied.

Even though I had read the positive reviews about this hostel, I was still pleasantly surprised! This truly was the most comfortable hostel on my Portuguese Camino - from laundry to an amazing breakfast together with other piligrims.

La Fonda is located in the Pontevedra Old Town district of Pontevedra, 1.8 km from Pontevedra Railway Station, 25 km from Ria de Vigo Golf and 30 km from Cortegada Island.

Very nice renovation job. Simple layout but functional. High ceiling so feels very airy. Comfortable beds with high quality bedding. The first floor has a restaurant “La Fonda” but was closed when I stayed. I think it can be more noisy if the restaurant was open. There were three units on upstairs. And common area for coffee and tea. We enjoyed the stay very much.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace, Xanelas Do Monte is located in Petelos. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available.

For context, my partner and I are walking the Camino de Santiago and booked this room last minute, just the day before. The property was great value for money. It was basically your own cabin equipped with everything you could think of . With comfortable beds and a very clean bathroom. The pressure from the shower was just perfect. I didn’t even want to get out of the shower it was so amazing. I didn’t need to wash my hair, but if I did, there was a hairdryer available. This felt like total luxury having stayed in a 14 bed dorm Albergue the night before. I think the bed was memory foam and it was the most comfortable bed I’d ever stayed in. There’s also an amazing pool that you can go and lay beside. And the day we arrived it was a perfect 22°. So this was like heaven after walking all day. I think this was the best place we stayed on the whole 14 days walking the Camino. Whoever runs the place thought of everything. I think there was even a scented candle. This is literally ideal for a couple . It’s located behind the back of what looks like an amazing restaurant which was sadly closed. The day we arrived. We did have to get a five minute taxi to the location as it is outside the city but for me it was worth that for this quiet peaceful piece of heaven. Also, there seems to be two of the cutest cats who are so friendly…
