We chose this bed and breakfast because of all the fabulous reviews on Booking.com and WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! Jean, our host, was friendly, attentive, and interested in making our experience a pleasant one. Coming from the United States, it seems we were a novelty, but we were driving from Metz back to Paris and wanted a small village. Jean shared historical information about the area and about his home. We enjoyed the kebab restaurant down the road, even though they were wondering what Americans were doing there! We love the backroads of Europe! And we love meeting the people! The experience was exactly as we had hoped! The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was generous. When we come back to Metz, we will definitely come back to Solgne!

Our room was very large and bright with a beautiful view of the countryside. The weather was good so we made good use of the table just outside of our sliding doors. The Kitchenette was adequate for our needs. Really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and the area very quiet. We had a large breakfast. Very generous amounts of food. This village is a farming community, which I really enjoyed. The only traffic was farm machinery coming back from the fields. I enjoyed the sounds of the animals and watching the swallows in the evening. Very relaxing.

The hotel is located in the city centre and sightseeing’s are all easily accessible by foot. The owners/ hosts have done an incredible job with renovating the historic building by retaining the old architecture and mixing with new modern interior elements and modern amenities. The breakfast was simply delicious and the hosts very attentive.

This is a paradise. You come and feel charmed and welcomed. The owners are super nice. We felt like at home. The accomodation is beautiful and all places are charming. It is super clean and comfortable. We enjoyed swiming pool, large garden, place for petanque. The breakfest was super tasty, fresh, with local products (cheeses, jams, fruts, joghurts). I hope I will come back once.
