We were met by Anita and she made us feel very welcome. The rooms are of a high standard, super clean and very comfortable. Everything you need for a stay near the waterfront and within walking distance to the barbican.

The owner is very friendly and helpful!! The rooms are very clean and lovingly furnished. The Island Lodge is run with a lot of dedication. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the Barbican with its many bars, restaurants and cafes. Despite the proximity, it is very quiet. We can highly recommend Island Lodge!

The very warm welcome from our hosts, late in the evening. We loved the warm and cosy bedroom and bathroom facilities.In the morning we loved seeing the beautiful gardens and watched a variety of birds feeding in the sunshine. Breakfast, as mentioned in several other reviews, was very good indeed. We can’t recommend this cottage enough. Thank you.
