Such a wonderful place!! Eric at the reception gave me a warm welcome and showed me around the place and even helped carry my bags up two floors, Lukas and Silvia too were so helpful with anything that I needed and so friendly, The place is spic and span. And you can always go to the kitchen and help yourself to tea, coffee, milk, bread, cornflakes, etc. The bus stop is just outside and the Coop too. Walking distance to landmarks like the Royal Yacht Britannia, Leith waterside, etc. The name befits the place - I truly felt I had visited my friend's house!!

We couldn’t have imagined a more charming stay. You feel and see the love that Lydie put into the house from the moment you step foot into the door. The room was spacious and cozy, the bed very comfortable. Also, the location of the house is great since it‘s walking distance to the center of town, surrounded by many cafés and shops but hidden away in a residential area. All in all: The perfect place to relax and get a good night’s sleep after a busy day in town.

The landlord was very helpfull with good advice for restauant, how to travel to Edinburgh, and was an amazing breakfast-Chef, respecting my no lactose/no carb diet. 😊🌻 Fine family, good dogs, good room and bathroom, car parking in the street, very quiet situation, 3 busses and train to Edinburgh... great!!
