Very warm welcome. The pub is a typical old English country pub and the center of village life. It was packed full when we arrived. Old pub games e.g skittles were available. The room was spacious, warm and simply furnished but perfect for our stay. We shall make it our go to stop over when in the area.

    Staff and fellow guests all very friendly. Although they don't do food at night they allow you to bring a meal in from one of the many takeaways within a few hundred yards, so we enjoyed pizza and an excellent pint in the bar. It is obviously a popular local but was not rowdy. It was quiet in the bedrooms. Excellent breakfast.
