    Charming old Georgian building with lots of character and kerb-appeal Friendly welcome at Reception Pretty room with a comfy bed and good bed linen and a nice bathroom with efficient, easy-to-use shower Although on a main road there was no traffic noise, therefore peaceful (except for a barking dog in the distance, still going at 3.00am!) Excellent breakfast

    It’s a lovely hotel with very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. The room was very comfortable and quiet. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    The hotel is very clean and well cared for, our room was quiet, comfy and cosy. Perhaps a little small for a week stay but just excellent for 2 nights. The breakfast is table service and part buffet, there are endless choices and nothing is too much trouble. When we have to be in Somerset again we will definitely return here. Staff are so kind helpful and charming a real treasure of a hotel.

    A quaint, comfortable hotel right in the centre of Illchester. The pub is attached but quiet from the rooms. Don't miss the Somerset breakfast.

    The service is very good and the staff, friendly. The room was spacious. Breakfast was prompt, adequate and nicely cooked. Ilchester is a small, quaint town and is quiet at night.
