We had such a lovely stay in this charming townhouse. We were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade — the room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a lovely view to the park. There was even a cream tea set waiting for us, with a variety of teas and coffee. The owners were incredibly kind and attentive, making the stay feel really special. One sweet touch I loved: there were little bowls of sweets placed all around the townhouse — such a thoughtful detail! Highly recommend for a cozy, relaxing stay with personal touches throughout.

I liked the property traditional atmosphere and the lady who assisted us during our stay was very friendly and courteous but not overwhelming. Our room was large and beautiful, we had a big double bed and a bed each for our girls. We had dinner at the local restaurant, food was good and the breakfast was really tasty. Not sure whether the heating was broken but upon our early arrival we found two electric radiators already on in our room which was nice so the room was warm by the evening. The hotel was conveniently located on our way back to Glasgow. Overall good value for money.

Absolutely amazing in every aspect. I slept comfortably and got to enjoy a very tasty breakfast. The owners of the Smiddy Haugh are lovely people who are happy to help in every possible way.

We stayed at The Stable Cottages. It was very clean and every nook and cranny was cleaned. The room was very spacious and much nicer than it looked in the photos. And the staff were also very friendly and helpful. It was convenient because you could basically eat dinner at any time. Breakfast was average. The grounds are very large and it was fun to walk around. We will definitely choose this hotel when staying in the area.
