It was a great room and total value for money. It was bright clean and airy with a nice view of the street and we loved the set up for Teas and coffees and breakfast the next day. The staff were so friendly nothing was too much trouble and our evening meal was really nice and again exceptional value for money. We were walking Hadrian's Wall trail and Wylam is literally a short walk from it. They were brilliant with our baggage, accommodating the luggage transfer and even putting it in the room before arrival.

Terrific staff, and a beautifully appointed room. The bed was exceedingly comfortable and the bathroom was enormous. We enjoyed a delicious meal in the restaurant, and breakfast was excellent.

This stunning mansion set in 4 acres of award-winning gardens is situated on the edge of the Northumbrian countryside, yet only 10 minutes' drive from the Newcastle city centre.

I have had the fortune to be a guest with David and Mark previously. It is always a pleasure and exceeded my expectations in all ways. They are fabulous hosts, and iI am saddened a little more to leave every time. The house is a treasure trove of sights it is exquisite and exactly what is needed for a little but of a country escape near the city. I look forward to staying with them again as always.
