Very friendly hosts and very helpful. Airport transportation perfekt. Beautiful rooms, not only warm but hot (!) showers, comfy beds, very good and rich breakfast! Quiet at night. City center is in walking distance. Once we enjoyed dinner on site, which was delicious. We travelled individually without pre-booked tour, so we had to organize a lot on site. The host helped us brilliantly with this. We could not have imagined anything better. Many thanks again for the wonderful time and your help with our organization!

We had a great stay at Rock Castle. The rooms are huge and very comfortable, breakfast is delicious, drinking water is available 24/7. Stairs to go up to Tsemo Castle are really close and Leh market is at only 10min walking distance. Most of all, the owner Tsewang was of great help to plan our trip in Ladakh!

In October, I had the pleasure of staying at Raku Guest House and I cannot express enough how exceptional my experience was. From the moment I arrived, the warmth and hospitality extended by the family who runs the lodge were truly remarkable. The family welcomed me into their home with open arms, creating an atmosphere that felt more like visiting old friends rather than staying at a guest lodge. Their genuine care and attention to detail made my stay memorable and exceeded all expectations. One of the standout features was the delicious home-cooked breakfast prepared by the family. The organically-grown apples from their garden were delicious and that added a unique and delightful dimension to my stay. Beyond the comfortable accommodation and picturesque surroundings, what truly set this homestay apart was the family's willingness to go above and beyond to ensure guests felt like a part of their extended family. Whether it was offering local insights, organizing cultural experiences, or simply engaging in heartwarming conversations, their genuine enthusiasm for hosting made every moment special. For hiking enthusiasts, I embarked on the Markha Valley trek, and they arranged for a local guide while also offering transportation to and from the trailhead. Best service from the staff and the owner was so Friendly and guided us the best route for our trip , food was just like home in affordable price and very helpful in every aspect, we had to stay another night in leh because we got late for our route , and they managed everything in just one call and we checked in 2.00 am in night and they still didn't charged us extra for that , and managed our dinner in that late night , also they have such a beautiful rooms with best mountain views , i would recommend everyone if you are going to leh and looking for a stay , must visit here once , you will feel like your own home .

    This is the perfect place to stay in Leh! I highly recommand. I booked 1 night and finally stayed 1 week. Peacefull and quiet place to rest and take time, great location closed to the monastery and the stupa. City center 10min max walking distance. Personal and owner really kind and helpfull. Room was confortable and very clean and equiped with a wonderful blanket for a really nice sleep. Terrasse on the sun is just amazing.

    Great location nice and close to the main market, but down a little side street so nice and quiet. The owners are wonderfully kind people who will help you with anything you need, and the guesthouse itself is beautiful! Also the rooms are truly lovely, especially for the price point.

    I loved everything about this place! Dolma is the friendliest and most helpful host. Comfortable bed and pillows, hot shower, great location - very quiet at night, big room, balcony. I’d definitely stay here again!

    Excellent homestay with a kind family who took good care of me when I was down with many altitude sickness symptoms. They cooked clean and fresh food for me every night according to what I could eat and charged a fair price. The house has a big lovely garden and it's very quiet. The owner is knowledgeable about the area and could quickly arrange for private car tours at a fair price. Located at 20 to 30 mins gentle uphill walk to town on a lighted street. Rooms are exactly as pictured - big and clean.

    When I arrived from Kargil I was ill (fever, stomach) and I got a nice quiet room with large private bathroom instead of a room with a shared bathroom. I could take all the time I need to recover and the staff brought me water, tea and food whenever I asked. That was a great help. So if you like it quiet, cheap and supportive, this is the place.
