Very idillic place. It was so nice to enjoy the evening on the small shared terrace and listen to all the wild birds around. Incredible how many different sounds there were! The room was also very comfortable. Decent cold breakfast as well.

Amazing remote location, not far from the town Eglisstadir, the hosts were really helpful, it was clean and comfortable. We saw the Northern Lights that night at the guesthouse and it was really beautiful experience. I recommend this guesthouse for everyone who is traveling on the east side of Iceland.

    That was a cheapest place in that part of Iceland, was not sure what to expect. The staff friendly, the beds after long trips were very comfy. It has shared bathrooms and kitchen. In Iceland are not many places to stay outside camps so I would say its a good choice!

    Excellent place to stay. Our favourite after ten or so nights in other places as we travelled the entire country. Fab location. It felt very homely and our host was very lovely. Breakfast was a bonus and wonderful quality. Quiet and night with comfy beds. Defo book this if you can!!!

    Have stayed here three times now - just a lovely little guesthouse in a nice location, great wifi, great value. The owner is lovely (and knits wonderful lopapeysas too which are for sale!). There are two modern bathrooms for 4 rooms and a kitchen/living room area for self-catering. Also great breakfast available as an extra. Washing machine too! Great quiet location for exploring east Iceland - not far from Stuðlagil canyon, the puffins at Borgarfjörður-Eystri, and Hengifoss.

    It was amazing ! You are far from everything and find peace and quiet. Elisa is an amazing host :) always keen to help. The guesthouse has 5 rooms and we got to meet the other guests and have a meal all together. Have the dinner cooked by Elisa and her husband it is delicious and very affordable. The kitchen has everything you need if you choose otherwise. Beds were comfy, everything was clean. You really feel at home.
