The room was clean and very comfortable, with a beautiful view over the small streets of the old town, and the terrace overlooking the hills was the perfect place for breakfast. We enjoyed our short stay at the Locanda and wish it were longer! Alessandro was extremely helpful and kind as we needed to alter our arrival time.

Definitely a 10 out of 10!! - The hosts Katia and Fabrizio were super friendly and supportive throughout our whole stay - The breakfast is super delicious! Several home made things like jam, yoghurt or cake tasking really good! Really an excellent experience! Rooms are beautiful, everything works well, paid parking just few meters from the room. Excellent breakfast. Thanks to the people operating the Drogheria e Locanda Franci has this place exceptionally good energy. Very nice and helping people, both in the hotel and their restaurant. Whenever we return to Montalcino, this will be our first choice! The restaurant is just perfect! Nice place, nice people, superb menu and even better wine list. Absolutely top experience and fuly recommended! And again, whenever we are back in Montalcino, we are sure we need not search for the restaurant for our dinner. We will be more than happy to dine there!!! Congratulations and thank you!

This is an amazing farm in the heart of Tuscany. But the incredible part is the owners and staff – Luciano, Laura and their team made us feel extremely comfortable during our stay. Their kindness and attention to the details creates such a hospitable atmosphere. Always smiling and ready to help if you’re looking for some recommendations. The food is amazing – fresh eggs from the farm, homemade pies, great coffee and everything else – during our 9 nights stay we had great breakfast every morning. Sometimes they make dinners too – delicious homemade italian dishes according to the family recipies. And after the breakfast you may return to your sparkling clean room. The location is amazing for staying with kids – there are horses, a donkey, chickens and a very friendly dogs. Luciano e Laura, grazie!

The guesthouse itself is a gem, beautifully preserved and lovingly maintained over the decades. It perfectly balances tradition with modern comfort. The room was cozy and elegant, with an outstanding bed and mattress that offered the most restful sleep I've had—better than even the finest 5-star hotels. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, and the private bathrooms were well-equipped with everything needed. The shared kitchen and sitting area added to the charm, providing a warm and inviting space to enjoy tea, coffee, and delightful cookies. The location was ideal, within walking distance of everything in Montalcino. Fulvia went above and beyond to arrange nearby parking and recommended fantastic local restaurants just steps away for a perfect Tuscan dinner. Breakfast was another highlight. Guests can choose to enjoy it in the guesthouse or at one of two nearby bars. We opted for Belvedere Bar, where we sipped espresso and savored cornetti while taking in breathtaking views of the classic Tuscan countryside—a truly unforgettable experience. Guesthouse da Idolina dal 1946 is an extraordinary blend of tradition, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Fulvia’s care and attention to detail make this a place I would return to without hesitation.
