The location is in an actual medieval town, with a castle, ornate stone work, and cobble stone streets. Beer houses, wine bars, and restaurants are dotted throughout the town. I was by myself and I asked one of the locals if I was heading in the right direction for a restaurant. He spoke very little English, my Italian is rusty, but he walked me all the way there we had rousing conversation using hand gestures and Google Translate.

From the moment we arrived at this guest house we were treated as newly found friends. The owners insisted we sit and have a chat over a glass of wine and snacks. Lovely, lovely people and very interesting too. The air conditioned room was spotless, likewise the communal kitchen where the fridge was stocked with goodies for breakfast. Various pastries and coffee were all laid out from which to help yourself. A savoury breafast can be provided if you request it. There is a beautiful courtyard (with swimming pool) offering stunning views over the surrounding countryside. Lory guest house is gorgeous! The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming and the landscape of hills and little villages is breathtaking.

A beautiful place to stay, decorated with charming vintage furniture, located in a small and peaceful town. The host was exceptionally kind – even though we arrived late, he patiently waited for us. In the morning, we were greeted with an excellent breakfast in the hotel’s lovely restaurant. Both the room and the restaurant terrace offer stunning views. We were sorry to leave so soon, as the atmosphere was so inviting that we would have loved to stay for dinner as well.

If we could give 10* to casa plenilia then we would, 5 simply isn't enough! We honestly had the most incredible stay, thanks to the breathtaking location, the stunning aesthetics but most of all because of the most wonderful hosts. Rafaella and Massimo were incredible. They are so welcoming, friendly and attentive whilst also making you feel like you have all the space you need and time really does stop in this peaceful oasis and luxurious escape. We both agreed that our room was the best we have ever stayed at, the design, decor and attention to detail is out of this world. And don't even get me started on the breakfasts, the quality of food is exceptional, the pancakes for me were a personal favourite and there was everything you could possibly want! We are already planning our next visit and know that Casa Plenilia will be somewhere we return to many times again, it has our hearts. Grazie Millie Rafaella and Massimo, voi siete padroni di casa perfetti!! A presto! Jen & Dario xxx

    Breakfast was excellent, owners laid back, dog and cat were sooo friendly, and they had a fully stocked cantina that we had full use of at unbelievably reasonable rates. Felt like staying at a well appointed family member’s house. Showers were great, room was clean, and area was SUPER quiet. Worth every penny

    The location is excellent, an easy walk into Penne, and the hosts are lovely. Breakfast is very generous! The bathroom and shower are wonderful; the bed is extremely comfortable; the whole place is immaculately clean. We also had a private terrace, with wonderful views to the mountains.
