Very clean, comfortable and the heating especially in the bathroom is fantastic despite the bitter cold outside. The host - Mizuho San made us feel really welcome.

Great place to socialise & meet new people. Many facilities, some kinda old but well-maintained. I loved that a Lawson was like directly across the hostel, & its very near Toyama Castle as well. I especially liked the aesthetics of the common room. The 2 nights I stayed were some of the better ones in this trip! Wish I had more time to stay at Toyama haha..

Very nice hostel, the cats are cute, the location is great if you plan to take tateyama kurobe alpine route (the hostel is close to the train station).
