I had a wonderful stay at Diani Yoga Barn. After 2 months of traveling in East Africa, I needed a retreat to rest and enjoy nature for a few days. My room was spacious and the bed comfortable. There is a large terrace upstairs with beautiful views of the surrounding forest where they give yoga, meditation and sound healing classes. I started the morning with yoga every day lead by one of the two owners alternately. As a vegan I didn’t have to go out to restaurants for breakfast or dinner because their food was freshly prepared, well balanced, reasonably priced and delicious. I walked to the pristine beach which is about 1 kilometer away. A lovely walk through well maintained dirt roads and lots of greenery surrounding huge mansions. I felt safe walking during the day but I didn’t go out at night. They are happy to arrange tuktuks or motorcycles if you prefer not to walk. The highlight for me was to play drums with the Kenyan owner who also provides tours in a comfortable car. He has created a cultural group of young men from his village who are training in drumming, singing, dancing, acrobatics, and yoga. It was great to see them at their daily practice in the afternoon, entertainment on site! They are welcoming and respectful of guests privacy but I strongly recommend you join in the fun. I was grateful that they don’t allow parties or alcoholic beverages to maintain their healing and relaxing concept. Follow them on Instagram for special retreats, and class schedules. I highly recommend the Yoga Barn for anyone who enjoys a relaxed, quiet, rustic, natural retreat run by two caring hosts.

Twilight Haven is a gorgeous little apartment that provides everything you will need! It's super clean and i felt safe throughout the whole property. You'll have access to a large pool and beach area (incl. sunbeds). The kitchenette is fully equipped so you can prepare your own meals. The host replies quickly to all your questions and requests. Very nice beachfront hotel with a huge pool and direct access to the sea. The room was spacious and comfortable and everything worked well (wifi, AC, plugs, hot water…). The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They recommended nice tours and booked taxis for us. The included breakfast was delicious and they have a limited menu of food for lunch/dinner. All in all a good price/quality ratio
