This place is a perfect hub for Nanuoya and surrounding area. There is a waterfall close by and you live in the tea fields. You are close to the train and there are multiple viewpoints to look if that interests you. The family is extremely nice and we enjoyed every interaction and tea cup. The homestay owner was incredibly helpful—when he found out I had lost my wallet on the bus, he accompanied me to search for it and report it to the police. From the rooftop of the homestay, you can watch trains departing from the station. The breakfast served is a traditional Sri Lankan meal—very hearty and authentic.

We arrived a day early to my booking (vacation brain) but they looked after us. Staff was great! I am 6'5 so the bed footer made it a tight fit but otherwise things were great. The 15 min walk from the train station allows for some amazing views of the countryside.

We were greeted by the family. The young man helped carry our bags into the room. He offered us tea and coffee. He was very polite and helpful. He did his job with heart and love. The accommodation is in the mountains at an altitude of about 2000m. In the evenings the temperature drops to about 15C. You need to wear a jacket in the evenings. The locals also wear wool hats. But this is clearly unnecessary. Double fleeces for sleeping in the room. It's good to be able to wear a blouse with longer sleeves if you're afraid of the cold. The room is nice and clean. Comfortable beds. TV in the room. Common dining area for three rooms with fridge. Breakfast was made by the hostess. It was delicious: toast, jam, butter, sausages, fruit, pancakes, jackfruit sauce on bread.
