From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the natural beauty and tranquility that surrounds this charming retreat. The natural setting here is truly a haven of peace and relaxation. It feels like you're living in harmony with nature, making it an ideal spot to unwind and destress. The spacious and comfortable rooms at Train View Chalet are a testament to the thoughtfulness put into every detail. At night, you can fall asleep to the soothing sounds of nature, creating a truly serene atmosphere. What impressed me the most was the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic stay. One of the highlights of our stay was the delectable food prepared by the talented kitchen staff. What sets Train View Chalet apart is that they make each dish fresh to order. The breakfast offered a wide range of choices, and the portions were generous. From the very beginning, communication was excellent. Thihara (the son) helped us arrange transportation from Kirinda to their accommodation, and during our stay, his father was always available whenever we needed a tuk-tuk. The prices were reasonable as well. The host mentioned that we were the first guests to stay with them with a child, and believe me, they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They are an incredibly caring and kind family. The bed was comfortable, we had hot water, the internet was fast, and all the essentials were always at our disposal. Our only regret is that it rained all three days in Ella, so we couldn't fully experience its magical beauty in good weather. However, during our time indoors, the hosts took great care of us—bringing us tea, fresh juices, snacks, and sweets. On our last evening, they even prepared a lovely dinner for us, which was a truly thoughtful gesture. Book this accommodation and let them pamper you!

Gorgeous place, so modern and the view's amazing! Felt so comfy and relaxed after that long drive. Peaceful and quiet, but just a 15-minute stroll to Ella town. The host was super friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great. She even packed us an awesome breakfast to go when we had to leave early for our train!

The host was exceptional and really made sure we were looked after during our stay. On the day we were due to arrive, he texted us to ensure we had transport from the train station and even met us at the top of the road to carry our luggage in his tuk tuk. In addition to this, he arranged transport for us to our next destination for a very fair price. The cabin was lovely, nice and spacious and lovely attention to detail with decor etc., also, just a 10 minute walk to the town. The breakfast was great and we felt very looked after during our stay.

    We had a good time in Ovitiyas. It’s just that we could stay there only for a day as the bookings were full. Special mention to Mr. Pasidhu who was very helpful and kind. The home stay was in a quiet neighborhood and near to the town.
