The best service on the island !!! Amazing family-run hotel. Delicious food. The room meets European standards, featuring tiled floors, hot water, and various amenties such as a hair dryer. The room was exceptionally clean, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. We also booked the morning safari service through the hotel, which was an unforgettable experience.

This is by far my favourite stay in sri lanka!!! On my arrival a young boy took my suitcase upstairs and 2 minutes later a young lady offered an ice cream as a welcome. The room is excellent and the balcony faces a lovely garden with lots of birds. Just opposite the homestay you have uda walawe park and I saw 2 elephant just right across the street. Both dinner and breakfast are delicious and very generous portions, I couldn't finish mine. Compliments to the lady of the house! The grandma of the house kindly stopped a bus for me to get to ella. I can't express how kind and generous the whole family is. I wish I could stay there for the whole of my trip in sri lanka.

Big air-conditioned room with huge bathroom. The room & bathroom were very clean. Great location, very close to the bus stop & entrance to national park. The host & his family were really friendly and took care about us. We felt like at home. We’ve also booked a safari with them.

Our stay at Elephant Safari Lodge in Udawalawe was truly unforgettable! Isuru is an incredible host who went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and at home. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, and the lodge itself was surrounded by beautiful flowers and breathtaking natural scenery. We enjoyed a wonderful safari experience, where we saw elephants, peacocks, deer and even a hyena in their natural habitat. The jungle mountains created a stunning backdrop for our adventure. After an exciting day, Isuru served us delicious home-cooked meals that we absolutely loved! This location is perfect for exploring Udawalawe National Park, and the peaceful atmosphere made our stay relaxing and memorable. This is the epitome of true Sri Lankan hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Udawalawe!

Really enjoyed our too short stay here. It is a bit off the beaten track but the nature and the scenery make up for it. Our morning safari was awe inspiring. The tents are comfortable, the food excellent and the staff could not care for you any better.

I would say that this was the best place to stay that we had in Sri Lanka so far. Best in many aspects: hospitability - everyone was was genuinely kind and welcoming, best and reasonably priced safari with great driver, excellent village safari with many birds and great knowledge shared of cultivations and peoples lives, best rice and curry we had so far. Location was just right by the park - you could see elephants just by looking out from the entrance.

The hosts were so lovely and couldn't do more to help. Our room was big clean and comfortable. They cooked us generous and delicious meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Served us fruit fresh from their garden which they were kind enough to show us around. They organised us transport to our next accomodation and also organised for us to go the elephant transit orphanage and a fantastic safari package at a great rate (also packing us a big breakfast to take). The location is quiet and close to the park entrance. Thanks to the whole family again!

Do not miss this place. Our stay in John's Safari Villa was on of the best in our Sri Lankan trip. The host is a very nice guy and he organized the safari and it was fantastic. We saw planty of elephants and so many of other animals. We had a really good dinner here local rice and curry that you should not miss. If you plan to come to Udawalawa, this is the perfect place.

What a great stay we had. Such a lovely family run place. The owner and his family were so caring people. Big and clean room with all the facilities you need. Big and wonderful pool. Best food in Sri Lanka so far. Very good value for money. We highly recommend this place.
