Our stay at Elephant Safari Lodge in Udawalawe was truly unforgettable! Isuru is an incredible host who went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and at home. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, and the lodge itself was surrounded by beautiful flowers and breathtaking natural scenery. We enjoyed a wonderful safari experience, where we saw elephants, peacocks, deer and even a hyena in their natural habitat. The jungle mountains created a stunning backdrop for our adventure. After an exciting day, Isuru served us delicious home-cooked meals that we absolutely loved! This location is perfect for exploring Udawalawe National Park, and the peaceful atmosphere made our stay relaxing and memorable. This is the epitome of true Sri Lankan hospitality. We had a truly unforgettable stay, thanks to the breathtaking Mango Safari Camping and the outstanding dedication of the team. We spent one night at the charming and peaceful campsite and were warmly welcomed. We went to the Elephant Transit Home which was an unforgettable moment in our life where many baby elephants are bottle-fed by humans. The actions and demonstrations done by baby elephants were amazing and somewhat similar to human babies, which was funny to see. We were treated to a traditional Sri Lankan dinner by the bonfire – the food was very delicious. In the morning, we enjoyed a jeep safari in the Udawalawe National Park, we could see ample of elephants feeding on grass, deer, water buffalo, and birdlife of the area and the scenery was simply stunning.

Fantastic stay with brilliant hosts. Best food we have had all through our travels in Sri Lanka. Jungle Edge family were very hospitable and even took us on a tour around their farm, showing us all the different fruit and veg they grow. Giving us a lot of knowledge into sugar cane cultivation. Even getting us some delicious fruit from their trees.

We stayed at Rustic Cottages to visit the Udawalawe National Park. Sandeep at Rustic Cottages helped us arrange everything - driver, lunch and park tickets - including picking up our friends at another hotel on the way. The rooms were super nice and fresh - nothing to complain about. Sandeep also helped us with a driver on the day of departure and offered his service via text throughout our stay in Sri Lanka - just fantastic!
