The owner was very nice to me. He offered me free drining water and arranged it himself. Two times I got lost, I couldn't find my way to the guest house, since it's a bit further inside from the main road. He was very kind to come and pick me with his motorcycle. The room and toilet was newly built and clean. AC was working perfectly fine, although during night I didn't need it. The bed was comfortable and huge. He also provided me with cutleries when I needed. There's public transport available to Pollonaruwa 10 minutes walking distance from the place. Getting a Tuktuk might be a bit challenging.

It rained almost without stopping during our stay at Lake Cabin. However we had a happy time in the care of our excellent host who made us welcome and helped us find an excellent local place to eat as well as arranging a tour of the lake where we saw several elephants. There were good choices for breakfast. The lake view from the veranda was stunning with so many birds.

I stayed at Sashini Homestead for 2 nights and had an absolute wonderful time. Chaminda and his family were fabulous hosts and provided great information about the Tourist sites. The room was super clean, large and well equipped and had the best bathroom I saw in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was prepared by his wife and tested delicious. The location is fantastic and Lion Rock is only a 10 minutes walk away. Chaminda also has a Tuk Tuk and will bring or fetch you from anywhere at a very reasonable rate. Thanks again for the wonderful stay, can definitely recommend the Homestead to anyone.

The host Kalahara is kind and helpful and treats guests as his family.Nothing is too much for him. PROPERTY: Lovely homestay surrounded by trees and lovely garden.The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and airy. All the facilities like hot water, airconditioning, water pressure etc was perfect. BREAKFAST:Our breakfast was included and it was the best we had in Srilanka.Its varied everyday and its plentiful and very tasty.(SEE PHOTOS) We had 2 dinners cooked by his wife and they were delicious and generous portions. TOURS: Host Kalhara will organize tours at reasonable rate and his driver is a very nice person. we did a tour and driver was very patient and took us around paddy fields. It was an amazing stay and great hospitality shown by the host and his family. The breakfast served there was probably one of the best in Sri Lanka and it's located very close to the Sigiriya Lion's Rock. RECOMMENDED

We loved this stay: nice modern rooms with a terrace where you can listen to the singing of the morning birds, super friendly service, excellent breakfast with fresh fruit, beautiful pool area and garden.
