Huge spacious, spotlessly clean room with incredible views. Absolutely loved the big beds with white crisp sheets. We were very tired and smelly from the hike the Pekoe trail, Shan took such good care of us, did a huge load of smelly washing and provided hot tea on arrival. We were so grateful!! Dinner was fabulous with lots of cold beers. Thank you to Shan, so respectful, interested and interesting. Highly recommended

The staff are wonderful. I must mention Bushbar who was so accommodating, kind and helpful. We had a delicious takeaway breakfast on checkout as we had an early train back to Colombo. The room was very comfortable, breakfast and dinner very good. Location is a 15 minute walk or 5 minute tuk tuk drive from the main street of Haputale which we loved. Great place to stay with plenty of walking through the tea plantations and small villages. Liptons Seat is only an hour tuk tuk ride away - the full day walk back to The Nest is beautiful. Highly recommend if staying in Haputale.

Guesthouse run by a young, smiling Franco–Sri Lankan couple. Our stay was really wonderful, the area is not touristy and feels very authentic. The tea plantations are simply stunning. Personally, it was my favourite part of the whole trip to Sri Lanka. The room was large and clean. We also had dinner at their upstairs restaurant on both nights, for a really small price. We used the laundry service as well. I highly recommend staying here, above all for the great overall experience. Thank you!

Beautiful house at remote location in the mountains. This is the perfect place for everyone who is looking for a quite place surrounded by nature. Munira is the nicest host and all the staff is amazing. We had breakfast and dinner at the house and it was always very delicious! Highly recommended!

We enjoyed staying here as it was a little out town and away from the noise. Rooms with a balcony look out towards a small temple and the valley and hills beyond and are the balcony is a good place to air out and dry washing in the sun. Raheem and Razmiya listened to our plans and helped make them happen, including seeing a leopard that was a bit too close for comfort at Horton Plains. They asked what we would like to try for breakfast and dinner and went out of their way to find special vegetables as well as mi kiri (buffalo curd). We enjoyed having general conversations about life and Sri Lanka. You can walk to Adisham monastery from here and then continue on to Idalgashinna Station on the forest track and go back to Haputhale by train. Other popular walks from Lipton’s Seat and at Horton Plains can be arranged by tuk tuk at a good price

This was an amazing stay with an amazing family. This was more as an experience of a Sri Lankan family than a night of accommodation, they made me feel very welcome. The "family style" dinner was so tasty, one of the very best I've had in Sri Lanka. Shirod, the son, was my tourguide and driver while I was there, he´s extremely knowledgable about Haputale and the surroundings, super friendly and an exeptional driver. If you're staying in Haputale, I would highly recommend staying at this place, and Shirod as a guide and driver. I will come back :)
