Grand Colonial Viveka has the best view of Kurunegala lake and it's located closer to Kurunegala city centre. Hospitality is high end, food is delicious and staff is very friendly. I felt like home with these beautiful people around. Thank you Maureen (Manager) and Senerath (MD) for managing this beautiful place alive. I'll definitely comeback when I visit Srilanka next time. The staff were excellent and couldn’t have been more helpful during our stay. The Accomodation was great, our room had a full kitchenette with a little sitting area and a large bedroom and bathroom. We had a lovely porch overlooking the rice fields. The breakfast was amazing at the main hotel and the view from the pool was truly spectacular.

What a lovely warm welcome. Dunisha not only runs a wonderfully positioned hotel (right beside a river with wild monkeys passing through each morning) but he cooks too! The food he made for us was personalised, creative and delicious. Very delicious! Our room was very comfortable and anything we wanted he was happy to provide. If we passed through the area again, we'd definitely stay there. Very affordable accommodation and cheap but exceptional dinner. Great value for money!
