Calm & quiet environment blended with nature as all the balconies faced towards a teak wood cultivated area. Friendly, attentive staff. The owner himself personally look into everything & make sure the guest's satisfaction throughout the stay. The large pool area is superb for relaxation. We had an authentic, Sri Lankan dinner buffet followed by an English breakfast next day. Home prepared delicious food .Safari jeep tours can be conveniently arranged from the hotel.

This place is really exceptional 🌟 Room is very spacious and comfortable. Dinner on the terrace and breakfast exceeded any expectations ❤️ Delicious food, traditional cutlery made of natural materials and excellent service 👍 Dimu also arranged a safari for us with a very kind driver. It's exactly like the photos. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and the owners go out of their way to help you. We have been travelling through India and Sri Lanka for a few months and this is one of our favourite stays. We're always nervous about reading 10* reviews but do trust this one! Ps I'm gluten free and this was no problem. They even made a special picnic breakfast for me AND they offer safaris if needed.

The place is amazing, a silent garden with small villas and a common space where delicious dinner is served! They even helped us with a good breakfast to-go because we left for the safari really early in the morning. The room was so nice and we loved the open shower.

What a great place. The set up is beautiful. Even better than the photos. Great value for money the most beautiful hosts. We stayed 2 night and had dinner there on one night. The dinner was delicious. We saw fireflies at night in the garden. Our host arranged a safari for us. We loved our stay.

I loved every minute of my stay at Hasthi’s safari cottage! The room was beautiful, the outdoor bathroom is so peaceful and Mum’s cooking was amazing!!!! I felt really well looked after, the staff always checking to make sure I was happy and even a delicious aloe Vera drink on arrival. My host even gave me directions to get to Ella on the bus and came to make sure I found the bus stop ok- this was so lovely! My safari trip was organised for me and they thoughtfully gave me snacks to take with for the early start. I really recommend booking your stay here! Thank you Hasthi, Family and staff!

The rooms were clean and modern, the property had a fridge and air conditioning that worked well, as well as a great shower. There was a river for swimming which was very peaceful and refreshing. Most of all the hosts were extremely welcoming, great at cooking and very nice. There was also secure parking for our hire vehicle.
