B&Bs in Wilpattu

Luxury accommodation with superb meals in a jungle setting. We did the all day safari seeing leopards, elephants, crocodiles and loads of birds. Also the evening boat safari which was relaxing, but very informative with a knowledgeable guide. The setting is idyllic next to the river. There are only a handful of other guests so plenty of space for sitting, relaxing. The food is of a very high standard, beautifully presented and good value. Nothing is too much trouble for the attentive waiting staff.

The stuff was friendly and the owner was there for us to organise safari. He also tried to find other guest, so we could share a jeep for the safari (unfortunately it didn't work). He also called a tuc tuc for us to bring us back to the main road. The place is in a quiet area, where you mostly only hear the noise of the animals. Close to the hotel there is a small local snack bar where you can get nice local fingerfood. The rooms were ok for the price and they were clean.
