We stayed for 2 nights at Kasbah Chems over new years. The hospitality shown by the staff was some of the best I have ever recieved - it is run by a warm, caring family that really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It was the highlight of our 2 week trip in Morocco. We arrived later in the evening around 8pm and dinner was promptly served - best tagines we've had in Morocco. We had planned to visit Dades gorge but as recommended by the staff we did a 4 hour hike through another closer gorge, with a guide, which was well worth it to understand more of the local berber history, and included tea at a local berber house. Mustapha and others arranged this for us last minute which was appreciated! We stayed in the double room on the upper floor and had beautiful views of the valley. The room was warm (AC worked well) and the bed very comfy. On new years eve some locals performed some local dancing and music. The interior of the kasbah is also very inviting and homely. I know it's sounding too good to be true - but this is a genuine review, don't hesitate to book your stay here. Thanks again to Mustapha and the staff! 😊

The food was amazing, I think it was the best tajin I have ever eaten. It was so fresh. The house is cozy and the valley opens from every terrace of the house.

Surroundings, immerse in nature, with fabulous riverbed road to structure. Since we’re adventure bikers, we loved every meter approaching Zen Ecolodge. Also, need to mention the best tajine we had in Marocco. Big compliments to Omar, who war very kind and helpfull. Great experience!
