Cindy and Gavin were wonderful hosts. We were spoilt with homemade treats. Cindy was very helpful and made us feel so comfortable. Nothing was to much trouble. The cottage was roomy and had everything we needed for a great stay. We even saw our first Weka there. The location was very central for all our travelling around. The whole experience was that good that we extended our booking. There are even activities at the Scenic Waterways Retreat which is a big bonus. Thank you Gavin and Cindy for such a wonderful stay and making us feel welcomed.

Kate was super helpful and was available to offer us suggestions for the area and about the property. She also ran very reasonably priced group yoga classes that my family loved attending. The villa we rented was spacious, spotlessly clean, well equipped with kitchen equipment and lovely linen, and although it doesn’t have a television, we played a number of new, different games as a family of 5 adults. It was the perfect, cosy accommodation to hunker down in on a rainy day. It was private and quiet and had every thing you’d need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend if you’re passing through Hokitika.
