AMAZING!!! 100000/10. Everything has been exceptional, above all expectations. I booked for 2 nights but I ended up extending my stay until 7 nights. The rooms are exactly in front of a super relaxing and not crowded beach with a super clear water with hammocks and deckchairs in the shade of coconut trees.. MAGIC. Also the location is in the middle of San Juan, close to many restaurants, bars, motorcycles rent, diving spots and anything you need. I have slept in the dorm (4 beds), but they also have private rooms. It was super quite and clean (they clean every morning) and equipped with blankets, towel, soaps, a fan for each bed and free drinking water. I also needed an hairdryer and they kindly provided it. But the most incredible thing is STAFF, they are some of the kindest, more welcoming and friendly people i have ever meet and they helped me in everything I needed, over due. Michel, Emi, Eliza, Tyron, Raquel, Julie and Jason, you all are wonderful and i have really appreciated your work!! There is also a chill bar on the terrace, with funny decorations in Voodoo style and good drinks, beers and shakes. If you are in Siquijor, I highly recommend you to book your stay in Voodoo House and/or to drink something at their bar (the sunset view is amazing!!).

Location is perfect close to the sea. Beautiful flowers around and exotic birds pecking the fruits on the tree next to the house. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Motorcycle rental is available and there is a fruit and vegaletable stand onsite. Hot and cold water dispenser is available. Staff and management are super helpful and friendly. Fresh air circulates around all the time. At the same time ideally a plug in or a spray mosquito killer is a must to keep them away.

The location was great and the staff was super friendly! We were picked up at and brought to port which made arrival and departure very easy. We also rented a motorcycle at Tagbalayon which was great for getting around the island. Can recommend the breakfast as well!

"The people make the place" Hosts of this place are extremely hospitable and attentive, so the review rate could not be different than 10/10. I'm really happy that I had opportunity to meet this family. If I will come back to Siquijor some day i will return to this guesthouse.

Great host, communication and cleaned the room every day. The hotel is in a calm location with shade. But only a short walk to coco grove beach/tubod sanctuary. I spent my days there remotely working/computer job and it worked great. Great Wi-Fi, good staff that topped up coffee and water all day long. Good breakfast. Loved my snorkelling breaks. (In the beginning I’d thought of working on the patio, so Ninni had prepared table and chair for me. I guess it would have worked fine. But the view and breeze was better at coco grove 🤩)

A delightful experience. The property is right up against the ocean and having breakfast while watching the tide come in is amazing. The rooms were great, cool A/C and comfy beds, and most of all the staff and family that runs Swakihan were so welcoming. We were there during Christmas, away from home, and they truly made us feel like family.

The biggest strengths of MIKI’S guesthouse are Mechie herself and the location. Mechie is such a fun and easygoing host! She made sure I was comfortable, from making the guesthouse super neat to introducing me to the area and people of Tubod. - Guesthouse extremely clean with clean bedding and neat floor & bathroom. No insect inside despite the fact that the guesthouse is in the middle of trees. Mechie is attentive to keep the mosquitoes away and there is a net around the bed. - Large bed and accessible bathroom. Fresh water available in the room and little kitchenette. Balcony on the private garden, very nice to take breakfast. - The Guesthouse has perfect location 1 min away from Tubod Marine sanctuary and beautiful beaches. Coco Dive is right there for diving excursions. Many restaurants nearby, shops and small eateries as well. Tagbaylon Hostel in front allows to meet plenty of people. Location is perfect because it’s not right in the center of San Juan but it’s less than 5min away by motorbike and ~17min walk. - I personally didn’t rent a motorbike so I mostly walked and it’s feasible. For longer distances, you can hail taxi-motorbikes on the way, it’s pretty cheap or ask Mechie to take you around. Tubod beach is a gem that should be visited by sunset. Music, drinks, nice people and the sea, it has a really nice vibe. - Mechie is very kind, she gave me plenty of advice and offered to show me around. She’s everything you would expect from a guesthouse owner and so much better than a hotel. She introduced me to tubod local life and looked out for me. I lived every late evening discussions with her! Thank you for welcoming me Siquijor and for taking care of me, Mechie and JBoy!
