The view was exceptional. The property had everything I needed plus drinks in the fridge and an electric blanket. It had a private entrance but connected to the main residence which as a solo travel is great. Hector was lovely and most accommodating.

This is an excellent choice for your stay in Swellendam. It has a great location near the main street of Swellendam whilst being completely private near the river that runs through the backyard of the place. The rooms are immaculate and the attention to detail fantastic. As an ex hotelier it gives me such great pleasure to see these small scale operations doing so well. Riverside has only 4 rooms that each have a terrace with sufficient privacy. The rooms are large and the bathrooms oversized. Good amenities and Nespresso machines in each unit. Lovely pool and plenty loungers to relax after a day of sightseeing. Ample parking and a very friendly and accommodating host.

Absolutely AMAZING HOSTS. The interior of the breakfast salon has old furniture and such a great climate/vibe. Lidia helped us booked a restaurant, went all above and beyond to accomodate us, breakfast was amazing. Would gladiator return there.

This is an old Dutch house from the end of the 18th century. It has a lot of old furniture. It looks very stylish. Everything is clean, neat and everything works. Plus convenient parking. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance, and the beautiful old town itself is quite safe.

We were made to feel very welcome, lovely to see the zebra and springboks at the bottom of the garden, birds nesting and wild life in general. Lovely peaceful setting, everything in the spacious room you could possibly need. Lovely breakfast and nice that the car was washed for our onward journey

    A very warm welcome from Etienne who proved a fount of knowledge and suggestions. The room was comfortable and uniquely furnished. The easily accessable Cyprus's Cottage is very centrally located on the main street and close to several restaurants. The excellent breakfast was served on the terrace overlooking the beautiful front garden. Comfortable sitting room for guests. Secure private parking.
