It is located 500 metres from Museum Aschenbrenner and provides a housekeeping service. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. They went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable; we were welcomed with a free mulled wine which made us relax into an unfamiliar place. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless. The buffet breakfast was also delicious.

The Hotel Föhrenhof is situated in a peaceful area on the edge of a forest in Farchant, just 3 km from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The sun terrace and garden offer a beautiful view of the Zugspitz and Wetterstein mountains. Warm welcome, well heated clean, spacious and comfortable room, good bed and extremely good breakfast including great coffee and fruit. Spacious parking for a big car.

The town itself is very cute and lots of places to roam around. The stay itself was very comfortable. The host was very good and kind. We received a very walm welcome and she gave the tour of the apartment. Provided all the details to travel nearby and gave us our Travelpasses of the area which allows to travel free on buses and trains. Apartment has everything that you might need for your needs. Kitchen has everything. I would definitely come back next time.

At the guest house, every unit comes with bed linen and towels. We arrived and our hostess found us outside and greeted us right away – she spoke fluent English. She immediately provided us with a map, gave us information about the surroundings that we were planing to go see, and showed us to a beautiful room. It was fully equipped with shampoo, towels, hairdryer... everything was lovely, and there was even a balcony with a view of the mountains. The bed was incredibly comfortable – after a long hike, it felt like pure luxury. In the morning, our hostess welcomed us downstairs with coffee + tea and eggs made as wanted. There was fresh bread, ham, cheese, butter, nutela, jam... nothing was missing. It’s rare to find this level of comfort in the mountains for such a reasonable price, and with such a wonderful hostess. Thank you very much for the stay it was amazing. Klára

Breakfast is laid out in the morning outside the room for you to help yourself. With the tax you pay the owner gives you a travel pass to use in the area. We went on the cable car to Zugspitz which was wonderful and caught the bus just down the road. Had 2 meals at Dorfbrunnen hotel (which gives massive potions!) which is 5 minutes in the car (a bit too far to walk). Would highly recommend a stay here.
